Uplifting over 880,000 women and girls in the Global South.
Alongside funds and foundations from around the world, Clare has invested in the groundbreaking Women’s Livelihood Bond (WLB6), the largest Orange and Sustainability labeled Bond in the market, designed to mobilise US$100million in investment to promote the growth of women-focused businesses, sustainable livelihoods, peace, prosperity, and the planet.
Women and girls in India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Kenya, and Vietnam will benefit from WLB6, which was created and is managed by Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) in a bid to bridge the gap between finance and development.
Founder and CEO Professor Durreen Shahnaz notes, “This milestone is a pivotal stride towards a transparent and inclusive future that significantly impacts and empowers women and girls in emerging markets. With each issuance, we’re not just changing the game; we’re rewriting the rules.”
As Clare’s first global impact investment, Clare CEO Alice Montague says the opportunity to transform lives in regions that have historically underfunded females in business and education, resonated deeply with the team.
