Protecting Kiwis from the harms of stalking.

Auckland Women’s Centre offers community kōrero, regional care and a nationwide voice for systems change, to increase equity, safety, wellbeing and empowerment for all women and gender minorities. With a long history of leading and supporting women’s rights activism, the Auckland Women’s Centre stands up for the rights of wāhine Māori, trans rights, reproductive rights, pay equity, and the right of all women to live free from gender violence.

The Women’s Centre convenes both the Coalition for the Safety of Women and Children involving 17 violence-prevention organisations and a new group for individual women wanting to get involved in creating a future free from violence, Anti-Violence Action (AVA). This means they bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to inform the anti-stalking campaign.

As the campaign gains momentum and engages political parties to ignite change, Clare is supporting efforts through funding administration costs to enable the team to grow and focus on their important work.
