Clare today announced the appointment of Jan Logie to the role of Strategic Funding Lead – Women.
Ms Logie’s career spans decades in leadership roles centered around women and wellbeing – including the YWCA and Hutt Valley Youth Health Service (now known as VIBE) – as well as overseeing high-profile portfolios in the community sector, human rights, social development, women, children, local government and immigration during her time in Parliament.
Clare Foundation founder Anna Stuck says that Jan brings a depth of experience and wealth of understanding in the women’s space. “We are thrilled to have such an experienced and inspiring wahine toa like Jan join the Foundation. Jan’s decades of incredible mahi in the women’s space is exactly what we are looking for in order to take our own mahi to the next level at Clare.”
The appointment signals the completion of Clare’s line up of individual strategic lead experts across the four areas of focus, according to Alice Montague, CEO at Clare. “The mana that Jan also holds is very special and will enhance our wider team in so many ways.”
Ms Logie says she is excited to join Clare “as they are the only funder in Aotearoa with a strategic focus on opportunities for women. What a dream to get to support this work and help empower our communities to lead the change for a better world.”
Clare has funded a multitude of initiatives in the women-focused space including the Mind the Gap campaign, End Women’s Homelessness Coalition, Māia Collective and PACIFICA.
