The Clare Foundation today announced the appointment of Alice Montague as Chief Executive, following an extensive search for a leader to drive the private philanthropic Foundation’s future plans.
Alice’s experience spans roles in Australia, New Zealand and her native UK, across a range of high-profile organisations such as the Red Cross, Experience Wellington, Creative New Zealand and most recently in her role as Executive Director at the Nikau Foundation.
Anna Stuck, Founder and Chair of the Clare Foundation, says that Alice’s extensive breadth of experience is ideal for Clare’s proactive, progressive approach.
“We are thrilled to welcome Alice and I know that her enviable strategy, leadership and philanthropic skills will give us excellent momentum to continue exploring ways to ignite tangible impact for our people and planet.”
“I would also like to take a moment to thank Adele Cubitt Cohen for her incredible input as the Manager and Lead Strategist at Clare during the first years of establishing the Foundation, ensuring that our organisation was in excellent shape as we enter this next phase.”
Alice starts her role with Clare on 26 April 2022 and will be based in Wellington.
